Chelsea v Norwich City: Lukaku agent hopeful of speedy return
Romelu Lukaku's agent Federico Pastorello has played down the severity of the Chelsea striker's ankle injury and believes he will return to action "earlier than planned".
Following Lukaku's return to Chelsea in the summer, the Blues have made a fine start to the Premier League season and sit top of the table after eight games.
Lukaku suffered the ankle injury in the 4-0 Champions League win over Malmo on Wednesday and Tuchel admitted afterwards the Belgium international would be out "for a while".
However, Pastorello thinks the former Inter Milan forward can recover quickly and will work as hard as possible to get himself back fit.
He told us: "If you see the pictures and the video of the injury, the position of the ankle is really under the weight of the body but he is a strong boy and he wants so much to play every game so he will be back stronger soon I am sure.
"He is really concentrated and will be focused on his recovery as soon as possible.
"He has his physio at home so he is working hard every evening even before he goes to sleep so if there is a time to come back it will be earlier than planned."
Lukaku has hit four goals in 11 appearances since rejoining Chelsea from Inter but is set to miss at least the upcoming games against Norwich City, Southampton and Newcastle.
