NBA will close all team training halls, players are not allowed to leave North America
"The Athletic" well-known reporter Samas Charania reported that informed sources revealed that the NBA will close all teams' training venues.
Starting on Friday, local time, all training venues of the NBA team will be closed to players and staff to ease the situation of the new crown virus.
NBA officials have sent notices to teams and encouraged players to stay at home as much as possible to avoid contact with others.
NBA reporter Bob Max followed up and reported that he got the news that although the team's training venue will be closed on Saturday, the teams will still prepare for the next NBA draft.
A team member who asked not to be named said: "This is the current situation, but we are still preparing for the draft. Of course, there is still a lot of uncertainty throughout the draft process, including whether joint trials and draft conferences will put off."
It is reported that the teams have been allocating relevant tasks to online personnel, such as watching videos, collecting background information, and weekly conference calls.
On the other hand, NBA officials have also notified teams that players can go out, but they are recommended to give priority to staying in the city where the team is located. Sources point out that players are not allowed to leave North America at this stage.
Although the team hopes that players can have the opportunity to continue working, in the current limited environment, the connection between the team and the league has become very difficult, so the closure of all team training venues is an inevitable result.
