Tottenham manager Nuno Espirito Santo says Harry Kane is available to face Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday, despite their attempts to sign him.

Kane has returned to training late from his holiday after Euro 2020, which was perceived as an attempt to force through a transfer to Manchester City.

The 28-year-old played no part in Tottenham's final pre-season game, a 1-0 win over Arsenal, on Sunday, but Nuno insists he could yet play against City.

Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish recently transferred to City for a British record £100million and it is thought that Pep Guardiola's side would have to pay more than that for the services of Kane.

The striker has scored 221 times in 336 appearances in all competitions for Spurs. The England captain has also found the net 38 times for his country in 61 games.

Kane available

The Tottenham manager attempted to quash concerns that Kane would refuse to play and reassure Spurs fans that he could resolve the situation.

"All the players in the squad that work on a daily basis will be options for us, then it's up to us to decide. First of all we have to speak to Harry. This is going to happen today, and after that we hope to solve all the situations."

"It's about what we have to do to solve the situation - this is important. We have to solve it together, everybody involved has to solve it together - speaking, having a conversation and putting our opinions, but most importantly, everybody together."
